My name is Joe Heerdink. I am the Regional Director of Information Technology at Henderson Community College & Madisonville Community College. As the IT Director I provide leadership, planning, and direction for the Technology Solutions departments. Our teams are responsible for the computers, servers, student technology, & network infrastructure on our campuses.

I received my Bachelors of Science in Information and Operations Management at Indiana University Southeast as a non-traditional student. Technology has always been my passion for as long as I could remember. I took apart my first computer at the age of 10 and I have never stopped. After High School I had always talked about going to college but never thought I had the time. I was working full time and I had way too many video games to play. In 2008, I realized that a higher education would be necessary to further my career while still holding onto my passion.

So here I am, now the IT Director for a place of higher education where I get to take computers apart anytime I want and get paid for it!
